The Rickety Press
Jericho's brunch-to-cocktails pub — a Cranham Street all-day spot with craft beer and a courtyard.
The Rickety Press has quietly become one of Jericho's most reliable pubs. On a residential street just off Walton Street, it manages to be a convincing brunch spot in the morning, a solid lunch pub in the afternoon, and a lively bar in the evening — a range that most places attempt and few pull off.
The interior is attractively done without crossing into Instagram-bait territory. Exposed brick, warm lighting, a well-stocked bar. The courtyard garden is small but functional, and it's one of the few Jericho pubs where you can eat outside without sitting on a pavement.
What to order
The brunch menu is strong — shakshuka, eggs Benedict, good coffee. The evening food is pub-plus — burgers, sharing plates, decent steaks. Craft beer selection is well curated, and the cocktail list is worth exploring. The Sunday roast has a local following.
The vibe
Polished but not pretentious. It attracts young professionals, Jericho couples, and the occasional well-behaved dog. Weekend brunch gets busy — book ahead or arrive early. Evenings are sociable without being rowdy. A pub that has found its groove and sticks to it.
