Bubble Valley
Bubble tea, waffles, smoothies and ice cream from a bright-green shopfront on North Parade.
Bubble Valley occupies a slim shopfront on North Parade Avenue, painted bright green from kerb to fascia and easy to spot from either end of the strip. The window banner spells out the offer: bubble tea, milkshakes, smoothies, waffles, frozen yogurt. Inside is more counter than dining room — most orders are taken away, with a couple of stools for those who want to drink in.
The bubble tea menu is the deepest part of the list — milk teas and fruit teas across the standard flavours, with a separate toppings grid covering the popping pearls, jellies and tapioca. Mr Boba branding shares the window with an ice-cream poster from We Whippy, the soft-serve range running through the summer.
What to order
A milk tea with tapioca pearls is the entry-level order and the safest bet on a first visit. Fruit teas are the lighter alternative, made up with fresh fruit rather than syrups where the menu allows. The classic waffle list is short — Belgian-style with toppings — and pairs well with the soft-serve when both are on. Smoothies and milkshakes round out the cold drinks side.
Good to know
Cards only at busy times, cash usually accepted. The shop is on the same fortnightly market route as the North Parade Market and gets busiest mid-afternoon when school finishes. Service is quick — most drinks are made up while you wait at the counter.
