Ginger & Spice opened in the Covered Market in late 2025 after building a devoted following from a mobile food van. The transition to a permanent stall has not dulled the cooking — this is modern Punjabi street food made with care, using fresh spice blends rather than the generic curry pastes that lesser operations rely on.
The venison curry has already made a name for itself and is the dish most people come specifically to try. The rest of the menu rotates but consistently delivers bold, well-balanced flavours at market prices. It's a welcome addition to the Covered Market's food offering, bringing something genuinely different to a building that already rewards curious eaters.
